Alexander Mackenzie Voyageur Route |
There are many things you can do to help ensure that the Alexander Mackenzie Voyageur Route remains a vital, lasting part or our shared Canadian heritage.
If you live along the Route...why not:
Learn a bit more about your local heritage associated with the Route; Identify important heritage resources in your community; Participate in, or begin, initiatives for preserving and promoting the Route; Share your knowledge with others; Distribute brochures to local stakeholders; Encourage local officials, parks, organisations and groups to get involved in Route development and preservation; Join the Association to show your support; Organise a regional chapter or affiliate. If you don't live along the Route, your help is especially important:
Learn more about the Route and its National importance; Visit Route communities with a view to the rich heritage of associated resources and waterways; Let us know where you go, what you do, and how we could help make your experience more complete; Talk to local heritage organisations, tourism offices and recreation providers, and inform them about the National scope of the Route; Join the Association and offer your support.
